Course Description

This ½ day workshop introduces attendees to processes and tools for clearly defining a project’s scope including its business case, requirements, major outputs, constraints, and task organization. In doing so, attendees will use given Visual Project Charter and Work Breakdown Structure templates

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify common project scope deliverables and describe the relationship between them.

  • Evaluate examples of business, technical and project requirements.

  • Practice writing unambiguous requirement statements.

  • Know common elements included in a project business case and project charter.

  • Use a Visual Charter template to identify critical project elements and parameters.

  • Define the process steps for and benefits of creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS.)

  • Use a Work Breakdown Structure template to create a three-level WBS.
