Course Description

This course provides an introduction to Lean Sigma concepts and the key tools used in Yellow Belt level projects.  The course is team structured and interactive; no ‘lectures’ are used. Instead, after a quick explanation of concepts, a case study is introduced, and each team will apply a sequence of tools to the case study, then present their findings to the class. The course unfolds as an actual Yellow Belt project, using DMAIC methodology, from initial request through to solutions. By the end of the class, participants will understand the basics of Lean Sigma and be capable of serving as Yellow Belt project leaders and as effective team members.
