Course Description
In today’s competitive economic environment, companies succeed or fail based on their ability to bring quality products and services to market in a timely manner. It is the project manager’s job to make sure that this happens. 

This Project Management Certificate program is comprised of 22 sessions which teach both the art (soft skills) & science (technical skills) of project management.  There are 4 modules added at the end of this program for participants preparing for the PMP® Exam. This program is geared towards busy professional who can’t afford to take time away from an already tight schedule. In takes 5-7 months to earn your Project Management certificate. This is done by successfully completing 22 scheduled 2.5 hour sessions that address key topic areas in project management, such as the project environment, planning, scheduling, and estimating. You will then be able to apply these skills directly into your own projects in the workplace. The program is delivered via a blended delivery option (ILT & virtual classroom environment).  Team projects can be completed remotely or face to face when the members of a team are located at disparate sites. The design of the program insures that interaction between participants and instructors and participants to participants is maximized.

During the program, you will work in teams to plan a real-world project. Working in teams accelerates your learning and prepares you to deal with projects on the job. You will learn to identify problems currently faced in business and work to solve them.

The entire curriculum is based on the Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®).  It will provide you with a solid foundation to prepare for taking and passing the PMP® (Project Management Professional) exam. Most importantly, our program meets the standards set forth by PMBOK® (Project Management Body of Knowledge) and serves as a solid foundation for the pursuit of Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification.

Prerequisites

The attendee must meet a minimum attendance requirement, individual and team homework assignment and conduct a final presentation.  It is recommended that participants have at least 2 years of project management experience.
